Chrissy Teigen may repeatedly be wowing fans with her gorgeous beauty looks on and off the red carpet, but the 30-year-old model has admitted there's one particular look she'd like to forget. The American beauty, who is pregnant with her and husband John Legend's first child, revealed she suffered a beauty mishap when she was younger.
Chrissy Teigen has revealed her biggest beauty 'mistake'
"I dyed my own hair this Chocolate Cherry colour, and I forget what brand it was, but I remember getting into so much trouble because it stained our bathtub," she told Instyle, speaking of her teenage years. "It was this red-black colour and it was a big mistake. I feel like my hair is still recovering from it."
While nowadays she has hair and make-up teams helping her at photoshoots to experiment with her look, Chrissy revealed that when she was younger she would sometimes resort to drastic measures for her makeovers.
"My mum really let us do our own thing and play with different trends, and my sister was a little older so she had all the beauty tricks," she explained. "I would stuff things like rolled-up toilet paper into my hair to get volume, or do the reverse and I'd lie on my back and she'd us an actual iron to straighten it."
Admitting her tactics were "very damaging" to her tresses, Chrissy quipped that they "got the job done".

It's been an exciting few months for the Lip Sync Battle presenter, who revealed in October that she and John are expecting their first child together.
"John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now," she wrote in an Instagram post shared with her 5.1 million followers. "It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family."
The star also later took to the social media website to reveal that the happy couple will be welcoming a baby girl, as she shared snaps from her cover shoot with Vogue Thailand.
She wrote: "So proud and honoured to have shot the cover of Vogue Thailand! Special to me for so many reasons… one being that I am SO PROUD to be Thai, so excited to have shot a Vogue cover (A dream, of course) annnnnnd a couple of minutes after this shot, John and I learned we were having our little baby girl!"
