Paris Jackson was unrecognisable as she debuted a striking new look on Instagram. The 17-year-old showed off her edgy side with a bold new hairstyle, having chopped her long tresses into a pixie cut. The teenager also dyed her trademark brunette hair an eye-catching shade of platinum blonde, marking a stark contrast to the dark chocolate brown hues she has been rocking in recent months.

Paris, who is the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, took to Instagram to show off her new 'do, posing for a stunning black-and-white selfie in which she can be seen smiling with her eyes closed. "Schmiles all around," she captioned the photo, with compliments from fans immediately pouring in regarding her new look.
A few days before Paris had already given fans a sneak peek at her new hairstyle, which was dyed a bright orange as she began to make the transition from brunette to blonde. She took the opportunity to pay a touching tribute to music superstar David Bowie – who passed away earlier this year – by teaming the look with a recreation of the singer's iconic Ziggy Stardust make-up.

Paris is no stranger to changing up her look – she has already tried different hairstyles ranging from fringes and long hair to layered shoulder-length cuts, as well as experimenting with a wide variety of colours including red and orange.
Having kept a relatively low-profile in the past few years, the American teen is fast becoming a social media star, already counting over 225,000 Instagram followers. As well as sharing stunning selfies, Paris regularly posts sweet photos of herself with friends and family, as well as fun artwork and memes.
