Pregnant Chrissy Teigen has joined the bob brigade!

With just a few weeks to go before she's due to give birth to her and husband John Legend's first child, it seems Chrissy Teigen is already embracing change in her life. The 30-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to debut a fresh new 'do, revealing she had inches chopped off her long wavy tresses into a sleek, shoulder-length bob.

The model confessed that she had a very specific idea of what she wanted her new hairstyle to look like, so she turned to none other than Jen Atkin – the woman behind the Kardashian-Jenner clan's sleek manes – to help her achieve the style she was after.

"New cut!!" Chrissy wrote to her 5.6 million followers, alongside a short video of herself pouting and showing off her makeover. "Asked for the khloe-rosie, side of Chrissy khlosey and @jenatkinhair knew exactly what I meant".

It could be that "khloe-rosie" is referring to Khloé Kardashian and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, both of whom also sport tousled shoulder-length styles, similar to Chrissy's new look.

The clip also gave fans a glimpse of Chrissy's blossoming baby bump, with the American beauty showing off her pregnancy figure in a black crop top and matching leggings.

As Chrissy and John prepare to welcome the new arrival, whom they have revealed will be a little girl, the couple celebrated last week with a princess-themed baby shower held at Material Good, a space in New York designed to look like a chic city apartment.

Having spoken openly about their decision to turn to IVF, Chrissy recently defended herself on Twitter after she faced criticism when she admitted she chose a female embryo during the treatment.

"From reading everything tonight, I think I made a mistake in thinking people understood the process better than they do, which is my fault," she wrote. "We didn't create a little girl. We had multiple embryos. Girls and boys. We simply chose to put in a female first (and second)... We didn't 'throw away' anything and still would love to have more of both in the future.

"Hard to explain such a complicated process here… You'd be surprised at how many people you know go through this. Also every doctor knows the sex of the embryos, it isn't some grand secret..."
