Cameron Diaz has taken credit for Gwyneth Paltrow's trademark sleek, blow-dried hairstyles. The 43-year-old revealed that she taught the mother-of-two how to style her tresses, after Gwyneth confessed she had never tried to recreate the look at home herself.
Cameron Diaz revealed the beauty trick she taught Gwyneth Paltrow
"Honestly, I look at her and I know what she does, and I know how well she takes care of herself and everybody around her," Cameron said, speaking about her close friend with Sirius XM's Radio Andy host Andy Cohen. "She's so loving and giving and generous to everybody around her, but, she was like, 'I never blew out my hair, like, I don't know how to do my own hair and make-up.'"
Cameron admitted she was surprised by her friend's confession, but quickly set to help her learn how to master the beauty trick.
"I was like, 'Girl, after all these years, you have to know how to do this, you know? So I showed her how to do a quick blowout on her own hair and she was like, 'That's it?' I was like, 'That's it.' She’s like, "I can do that!'"
Gwyneth often steps out with her hair in a sleek blow-dry style
The There's Something About Mary star explained that the pair's careers as actresses often mean they're surrounded by a glam squad to help them get ready, but there are many beauty hacks they can do themselves.
Cameron revealed she told the Iron Man 3 actress: "It's easy, because we have all these other jobs that we have to do that we leave that to other people, but it's really not that difficult to do yourself."
Gwyneth has previously described Cameron as her "beauty mentor"
Gwyneth herself has spoken openly about the advice she received from her fellow actress, describing Cameron as her "beauty mentor" and revealed she has been helping her for years.
"And she was the one who really taught me how to do my own hair and make-up back in the day so she's my biggest beauty mentor," she told Elle. "There are lots of tips – I can't remember them off the top of my head."
