Kim Kardashian caused a stir amongst her fans when she unveiled her latest edgy beauty look. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star revealed that she had dyed her long brunette tresses an eye-catching shade of platinum blonde, as she posed for a short video shared with her 69.6 million Instagram followers.

It seems that the look is temporary, as Kim explained that she was working on a photoshoot when she opted for the style. "Late night set vibes," she simply wrote alongside the clip, which saw her smouldering for the camera while her hair and make-up artists completed her look.
Although in the past the mother-of-two has experimented with wigs when trying a bold new colour, it appears that this time the star chose to get her hair dyed.
Just days earlier Kim teased her Snapchat followers with a series of snaps showing her rocking wet blonde hair, prompting speculation that she had undergone the treatment ahead of the photoshoot.
Kim first went blonde for Paris Fashion Week in 2014
It's not the first time that the reality TV queen has experimented with blonder hues. She notoriously caused a stir in the beauty world when she hit Paris Fashion Week in 2014 with her then-shoulder-length tresses dyed a bold platinum shade, a stark contrast to her natural dark brunette locks.

It's not the only time that Kim has gone blonde – earlier this year she was spotted rocking a long, sleek blonde wig as she supported rapper husband Kanye West at his show during New York Fashion Week, joined by the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
The mother-of-two also tried the look by rocking a long wig
Kim explained in an Instagram post that she had turned to Tokyo wigs for the bold look – the same wig makers who her younger sister Kylie Jenner famously favours.
Kylie previously spoke about her love of wigs in a post on her eponymous app, writing: "I discovered this amazing wig guy, Tokyo, and together we create wigs. Wigs are just SO much easier because I change my mind so much and this way I'm not damaging my hair."
