Zac Efron sent his fans into a frenzy when he posted photos during a visit to a pre-school on Thursday. The 28-year-old actor debuted a bold new makeover, revealing in the photos posted on his social media accounts that he had bleached his trademark brown hair into blonde hues.

Although the High School Musical actor had been rocking lighter brunette shades in recent months, this marks the first time that Zac has made the bold transition and dyed his hair blonde – and compliments from his 15.4 million Instagram followers quickly began pouring in.
Urging his fans to "stay in school", Zac shared a series of snaps from his visit to the ECC, posing with fans and visiting the different classes.
Clearly in a playful mood, the 17 Again actor posted a photo of himself with a group of the schoolchildren, quipping in the caption: "tbt to when I graduated preschool".

However, Zac also took the opportunity to explain how the visit had inspired him. "Srsly though, some days are meant to be and thanks to the "Smiling Sons" class for reminding me what's important in life," he wrote. "Just be yourself and play hard #hustlekindess."

The actor has undergone a drastic transformation in recent months, most notably with his muscular physique, as a result of his impressive training routine forBaywatch, in which he stars opposite Dwayne Johnson.

Giving his followers a glimpse into the gruelling regime, which included tough exercises such as tyre flipping, Zac admitted it had taken "months and months of training" for him to prepare for filming.
The actor also took to Twitter to share his strict healthy diet, admitting he had undergone a sugar and carbohydrate detox. "9 days of absolutely zero carbs & sugar. Only organic grass fed/free range protein and organic leafy greens," he wrote, before adding that "this lead to" a cheat day with an impressive menu. "Devoured a steak, 4 side potatoes/veggies, macncheese, 3 desserts, bread/butter, brick o cheese & caviar," he admitted.
