Halle Berry gave fans major festival hair inspiration when she debuted an edgy new undercut hairstyle on Sunday. The 49-year-old gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek at her new 'do, which included a surprising twist.

Posing with her back to the camera, Halle wore her hair swept up into a top knot, revealing that she had opted for an intricate pattern to be shaved into her undercut. "AND FOR MY NEXT TRICK…" she captioned the snap, using a scissors emoji as the 'x' in 'next'.
The Die Another Day actress is no stranger to experimenting with her gorgeous brunette tresses. She's rocked hairstyles with everything from a shoulder-length style with a full fringe, to a chopped ombré bob hairdo.

Recent weeks have seen the star rocking a much short hair length, with Halle teasing her fans in a close-up snap of the back of her head posted on Instagram. However, her dramatic makeover was not done on a whim, as Halle revealed it was part of her research for her role in an upcoming film.
"I am not my hair (exploring my new film character.)," she captioned the photo, with compliments from fans pouring in within moments of the snap being shared.
Halle has become an active presence on Instagram since joining the social media website in March.
