Selena Gomez has gone for her shortest hairstyle to date!

July 28, 2016

Selena Gomez has made a series of changes to her haircut in recent weeks, but on Wednesday the star unveiled what seems one of boldest makeovers to date. Arriving at Kuala Kumpur in Malaysia as part of her Revival tour, the 24-year-old surprised fans when she debuted a much shorter hair length.

Selena Gomez debuted a striking new shoulder-length hairstyle

The Same Old Love hitmaker showed off her beauty credentials as she arrived in the Malaysian city ahead of her concert, with her usually long brunette tresses a few inches shorter, now falling at shoulder-length. To flaunt her new 'do, the singer left her glossy hair worn down in voluminous curls, her fringe styled into beachy waves for a laidback chic finish.

Selena, who is currently a brand ambassador for Pantene, is no stranger to experimenting with her look. Throughout her tour she has tried a variety of different hair colours and styles, including a brief stint as a redhead when she dyed them a fiery auburn shade.

Selena recently had a fringe cut into her tresses

Just a few weeks ago she revealed that she had a fringe cut into her hair, and had her trademark dark chocolate brown hues dyed into lighter brunette tones. Celebrity hairstylist Marissa Marino, the woman behind Selena's hairstyles throughout the tour, shared a gorgeous selfie of the star on Instagram to give her followers a first glimpse of the singer's makeover.

Fans repeatedly covet the Good for You singer's hairstyles, so many were delighted when she revealedher unusual trick for achieving her trademark textured finish.

"I don't wash my hair every day, which may sound gross, but it's actually really bad for my hair," she told Allure. "Some of my best friends actually can't go more than maybe two days without washing their hair, and for me, I give my mom and my dad all the credit, because I have thick hair, so it gets better the less I wash it."

Admitting that she sees a notable difference to the condition of her mane when she leaves it for a few days, she added that she does spruce it up with a spritz of dry shampoo.

"By the third day, my hair actually holds pretty well. It just holds curls better, and it holds product better. It's so strange, but it actually works," she confessed. "I just use a little dry shampoo, and I tease it to keep the volume up. Usually by day four is when I have to absolutely wash it."
