The Duchess of Cambridge is bringing back the headband! The mother-of-two had royal fans coveting her stylish accessory as she and Prince William arrived in Haida Gwaii, Canada, by canoe on Friday.

Kate chose a sleek Alice band that matched her natural glossy brown hair as closely as possible, making for a subtle yet striking look - and royal fans have already given the accessory their seal of approval.

Kate is bringing back the headband trend

The headband complemented the chic outfit she had chosen for the day, with Kate opting for an elegant blazer from Canadian label Smythe, paired with Zara jeans and an ivory blouse from Somerset by Temperley.

It's not the first time that Kate has chosen to add a headband to keep her hair looking as flawless as ever. Earlier this year the British beauty caused a social media frenzy when she found a stylish way to fix a potential hair mishap as she arrived for the International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford with Prince William and Prince George in July.

The 34-year-old was quick to find a solution when the windy weather blew her hair into her face, and quickly dashed back to the car to pick up the animal-printed plastic Alice headband. Ever the beauty icon, she quickly created a slight quiff effect by adding volume at her hairline, leaving the rest of her hair down in her trademark cascading loose curls.

Headbands aren't the only hair trend that Kate has inspired beauty fans to try. Renowned for her elegant chignon hairstyles, the Duchess was spotted wearing a subtle hairnet at the Somme Centenary commemorations in France earlier this year to keep flyaways at bay.

It could be that she was inspired by the autumn/winter 2016 catwalk shows, where designer labels including Gucci and Isabel Marant sent models down the runway with veils and hairnets as part of their beauty looks.
