Katy Perry has experimented with a dramatic new look following her split from Orlando Bloom. The Chained to the Rhythm singer debuted a new bleach blonde pixie cut on Thursday, and documented the transformation for fans on Snapchat. The 32-year-old revealed her inspiration for the cut was Manchester by the Sea star Michelle Williams, but she has instead drew comparisons to Miley Cyrus, who rocked an almost identical hairstyle in 2012. And with her shaved pixie cut and bold red pout, Katy's resemblance to the Wrecking Ball singer was uncanny.

Katy Perry debuted a dramatic new look
Katy underwent her post break-up transformation at the hands of stylist Chris McMillan, who created Jennifer Aniston's much-copied 'Rachel' hairstyle in the '90s. The hairdresser started by cutting several inches off Katy's blonde bob, before cropping the sides and styling it into a dramatic side swept 'do. And it appears she was thrilled with the new look as she shared videos of her new look on Instagram with the caption: "I WASN'T READY TILL NOW."

The Roar singer's new look comes just days after Katy confirmed her split from Orlando Bloom, following a year-long relationship. Katy broke her silence on the break-up on Twitter on Thursday revealing that nobody was to "blame". She told her 96 million followers: "HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 201!? You can still be friends & love your former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!" [sic] News of their split was confirmed by their representatives on Tuesday.
