Revlon bosses have signed up Wonder Woman as their new ambassador. Gal Gadot has been unveiled as the new face of the brand and the Israeli actress will front Revlon's fresh Live Boldly campaign, which launches later this month. Revlon teased the new ads online on Tuesday by posting a brief video of the former beauty queen, dressed all in red, posing for the camera and having fun. Her new role was also announced at a press conference in New York City, during which Revlon bosses explained they chose Gadot to front the campaign because she represents strength and is an "advocate for women".

Confirming the news, the Wonder Woman star says, "Revlon is such an iconic and groundbreaking brand, a champion of women, and I am so happy to be part of this family now. There's a cultural shift happening, which Revlon celebrates, where feminine power is recognised, and I'm so proud that I get to witness and live this amazing change."

The actress, a former Israeli soldier, is coming off an incredible year after breaking records at the box office as her superhero character, and she'll be honoured with the #SeeHer Award at the 2018 Critics' Choice Awards. Gal will be feted for "pushing boundaries and recognising the importance of accurately portraying women across the entertainment landscape". Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is presenting her with the accolade on 11 January (18) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. She will be only the second star to receive the accolade - Viola Davis became the first honouree in 2016.
