Miranda Kerr considers perming her hair as a teenager as her most embarrassing beauty moment. The Australian supermodel is one of the hottest names in fashion, having walked the runway for the likes of Victoria's Secret, Balenciaga and Chanel. While Miranda may be used to dealing with top hair and make-up experts now, she wasn't always so lucky, and has detailed how she once had a dreadful perm. "When I was about 12, my mum went to get a perm and I went with her. When we were in the salon, they offered me one as well - big mistake," she told byrdie.com.au. "But it didn't work very well, it was like one of those tight perms. And I had bangs. It was bad. I remember thinking, 'Why can't it look like the beautiful loose waves in the photo!'"

Miranda Kerr says she wishes she hadn't permed her hair as a teen
However, the experience didn't put Miranda entirely off getting her hair permanently curled. The brunette beauty recently tried out the American Wave process which utilises modern ionic waving lotion and hair setting techniques. "My hair was dead straight, so the perm was amazing because I could just wash my hair and let it dry. It gave it a beautiful natural wave. I love them," the 34-year-old shared, going on to warn that the process is a lengthy one. "They take a really long time - I had someone come to the house."

During her interview, Miranda also discussed her favourite cosmetics and products from her skincare line, Kora Organics. The star, who is currently expecting her second child, explained that her busy lifestyle means she only has time to do the bare minimum each morning before heading out the door to drop her seven-year-old son Flynn off to school. "I don't go anywhere without RMS Un Cover-Up Concealer in 22, or my eyelash curler. I also love carrying the Kora Organics Rose Quartz Luminizer, it just melts into my skin," she added.
