Shailene Woodley has recently returned to the set of Big Little Lies to reprise her role as Jane for series two of the show, and we're wondering if her latest dramatic hair transformation might have something to do with it. The actress, who stepped out for an event in New York alongside co-star Zoe Kravitz, sported a very different 'do to the blonde balayage she's been rocking recently – showing off her newly jet black locks, which have been cropped just past shoulder-length and into a full fringe!

The 26-year-old, who also memorably chopped her long hair into a pixie cut for her role in The Fault In Our Stars, is no stranger to bold hair transformations – though this just might be her most dramatic change yet. Earlier in March, she posted a photo to Instagram showing her hair in a warm brown tone, with the caption: "JANE'S BACK. #letsdothis #BLL2".

The breakout show, which also stars Reece Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, recently announced that Meryl Streep will join the cast in its much-anticipated second season – and fans are keen to see what other plot twists will come in the next installment. Nicole, who produces the show alongside co-star Reece, revealed last year that she was surprised at its success.
She told Ellen DeGeneres: "When it first came out, I remembered going, 'Oh I thought it would be a little bit more successful, maybe it's not going to hit the place we really wanted it.' And then it just started to snowball." She added: "The great thing was, that it was on HBO, and everyone had to wait each week to see the next episode. Then suddenly I was being recognised at airports, on airplanes and women were coming up to me on the streets. They were all talking about the character and what was going to happen next."
