The Gossip Girl star took to her Instagram page to share the exciting beauty news with fans and she got a huge reaction. Leighton looked like a completely different person with her new bleach blonde look – a world away from her normal brunette style. The actress chose the Nexxus salon in New York for her new look. Colourist to the stars Aura Friedman, who has worked with everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Lady Gaga, is the lady responsible for the gorgeous shade. Shortly after going platinum, Leighton told PeopleStyle about her hair transformation. She said: “I don’t even feel comfortable saying that I just went blonde. It is a totally different color of hair! But I love it!” The star told the publication that she wanted a change from her long, natural hair and fancied a new fun colour. She also revealed that the inspiration for the look came from Hollywood legend Jayne Mansfield.
