Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, has been seriously upping her style game over the past year. And it seems she’s not afraid to experiment with different beauty looks either, as the royal debuted a gorgeous longer wavy hairstyle while appearing in a guest slot on This Morning. Instead of her usual neat and tidy up-do the wife of Prince Edward wore her rich blonde hair in a seriously glamorous set of loose waves, full of volume and texture. She teamed her new look with a monochrome floral frock and black cardie.

The countess was appearing live from Buckingham Palace Gardens to plant the first This Morning tree in the country's most famous garden as part of the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy campaign, alongside presenter Eamon Holmes. And she admitted she used the garden to run around to keep fit. "I've run around the parks, trying to get fit. When they were little [her children] we have come up here during school holidays and… the children have enjoyed the sandpit and running around the gardens too," she revealed.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their delight at seeing the slightly-under-the-radar royal on their screens. "Isn’t Sophie Wessex lovely? So beautiful, educated, well spoken, funny. A great attribute to the royal family. We should see more of her and Edward!" said one. Another added: "How charming is HRH #SophieWessex, very natural. Pity we don't see more of her, she is a real asset to the Royal Family".

Keen royal watchers will already know that the 46-year-old has been starting to step out of her relatives' style shadows recently with a series of gorgeous outfits. Last month she stunned in a super chic look while attending the Commonwealth Service alongside the Queen, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. She wore a gorgeous blue coat by Stella McCartney, which retails for £1135, and teamed the striking bold number with an eye-catching camel fascinator, a Sophie Habsburg bag and a pair of suede pointed pumps by Prada.
