Britney Spears regularly has her fans coveting her glamorous hair and make-up looks, and on Monday the star once again gave them major hair envy. The 34-year-old singer revealed that she had a few inches chopped off her blonde tresses for a shorter, shoulder-length style.

The Stronger hitmaker was clearly pleased with her new look, posting a photo montage on Instagram of a series of selfies in which she flaunted the sleek 'do. "A very much needed haircut," Britney explained in the caption to her 10.7 million followers, suggesting that the star had been considering the change for a while.
It seems that in recent days the pop superstar has been enjoying some rare downtime amidst her hectic schedule which includes a series of performances as part of her Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The singer spent some quality time with her sons Jaden and Sean Preston Federline, making the most of the sunshine with a day by the pool. "What a day!!" she captioned a short clip of the children jumping into the water and waving at the camera.
Britney recently reached out to her two boys with a heart-warming open letter, in which she branded them her "masterpieces".

The star also shared her hopes that the pair would achieve their biggest dreams, reminding them that they would never be alone.

I hope the most precious mysteries of life stay with you always and you are never ashamed of how bright your light truly is." She added: "I pray you laugh, love and soar through your journey of life."
