Sporting a long, black dress that showcased her killer curves with maximum impact, Salma Hayek was breathtaking as she stepped onto the red carpet for the premiere of her latest film Here Comes the Boom. And the stunning Latino star – who is consistently a knock-out on the red carpet in figure-hugging dresses – has now revealed that she loves her food as much as the rest of us, opening up in a recent interview.
"I am on the limit of chubbiness because I love my food and my wine," the star candidly revealed.
But the actress has a refreshing attitude towards her womanly figure, embracing the fact that she might not fit the super skinny Hollywood mould. "It’s not the best for fashion, but it’s good for my mood. I am happy because I eat. The truth is I just don't have the drive to be the prettiest and the thinnest." She also blasted the showbiz industry’s obsession with staying slim, deeming it unnatural.
"In recent years, we have had to fight against our genetic nature to look like little boys, to be socially accepted as beautiful," she said. "It used to be that a young girl couldn't wait to grow up and take the shape of a woman. Now our goal is regression, to look younger and like a child." The 46-year-old also believes that her healthy mindset keeps her looking youthful, singling it out as the reason she doesn’t rely on cosmetic surgery. "I will not have Botox. You know why? Because I eat! I eat the fat, I eat the vegetable, I eat everything. If you exercise and you don't eat enough, it takes its toll on the skin." Salma's positive outlook on body and weight certainly pays off – the star looks truly wonderful.
