Britney Spears practises yoga to help with 'anxiety'

Britney Spears has revealed that she practises yoga to keep both her mind and body healthy. "It's like my go-to between all anxiety and everything," she told TV host Ryan Seacrest. "I'm doing a lot of yoga right now."  The singer, who works hard to keep her body toned, joins a host of famous yoga fans including includes Jennifer Aniston, Gisele Bundchen and Madonna.

Mother-of-two Britney admits that she didn't always enjoy this fitness discipline. "The first time I did yoga I didn't like it at all," she said, adding that the secret was to find a good teacher "someone you kind of connect with." Britney recently appeared on the cover of Shape magazine showing off her enviable figure in a white bikini. Inside the magazine, she is photographed demonstrating a selection of yoga poses including Warrior Two. "I think if you find the right instructor it does wonders for your body, it really does," she says.

Jennifer Aniston 44, has long championed the discipline’s physical and mental benefits, crediting it with helping her maintain her incredible body and keeping her calm as she prepares for her wedding to Justin Theroux. "It's completely changed my life," she has said. "It's one of the most fun workouts I've ever had." Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga and Adam Levine are also devoted yogis. Michelle Williams has said, "Yoga gives me relieve like nothing else; it makes me a better person and better mother."
