The On The Floor hitmaker admitted that sometimes in order to stay motivated on your fitness plan, just the act of heading to the gym will help. "Sometimes when I get home and I'm not feeling so great, I make myself go to the gym. Then I come home and take a shower, put on a great outfit, some makeup, tie my hair up, and I feel pepped up and great about myself," she told Redbook.

For the Legally Blonde star, exercise can be a great excuse to socialise. "I try to exercise every day. I like to run for about an hour, and I'm big into working out with girlfriends," she told InStyle. "It's an acquired skill, being able to discuss your love life, children and friends, all while you're running! But we have mastered it."

Gwyneth Paltrow

"Keep up consistent exercise. I am dedicated to the Tracy Anderson Method and it has completely changed my body. Still, when I first started working with Tracy, finding motivation was hard. " the blonde beauty advised in The Telegraph. "She advised me to think of exercise as an automatic routine, no different from brushing your teeth, to avoid getting distracted. Now it is part of my life - I exercise Monday to Friday at 10am and always stick with it. I'd also recommend concentrating on moving more - we sit for so much of the day. Choose to walk or take the stairs, or briskly climb a hill in the evenings. It creates good muscle tone and boosts your metabolism."

"Exercise is where everything starts for me. Training every day is not a possibility, because of work and travelling," the model told Harper's Bazaar. "But my days off are pretty much spent outdoors. I’m learning how to surf at the moment ... Just trying something active, like hiking with girl friends or going to the gym. I’m obsessed with yoga."

Jessica suggests trying classes if you're struggling to keep yourself motivated at the gym. "I have to break a sweat or I don’t feel like I’ve gotten anything done. When I only have 30 minutes, I’ll do a series of burpees, mountain climbers, squat jumps, planks, and a few sun salutations. But I’m not going to lie. Working out sucks. Which is why I love taking classes, because I’m surrounded by other people and that keeps me motivated and accountable," she told Shape.

The actress has previously admitted that the summer months see her mixing up her fitness routine as she tries to make the most of the nicer weather. "Yoga is a constant for me because it keeps my muscles long and flexible," she admitted to That's Fit in 2011. "But now that summer's coming around, I'm planning on spending more time outdoors playing volleyball and jogging with my dog, Tina."

Hilary Duff

The former Lizzie McGuire star revealed how she upped her fitness game when she hit a plateau during her workouts. "I was a gymnast when I was little, so I think Pilates is really important to helping me stay long and lean. I try to do it three times a week," she explained to Health. "I also do circuit training. Before I wasn't doing much cardio - just Pilates - and I wasn't getting the same results, so I bumped up my cardio and do circuits probably twice a week."

Jennifer Garner

Does your hectic schedule make it difficult to fit in a workout? Then you may want to follow in Jennifer Garner's footsteps – the star admitted she tries to get her exercise done first thing in the morning. "I started feeling like I didn't have time or energy for (exercise), but now I realise I didn't have energy because I wasn't exercising," she told Self. "So I work out with my trainer or do an hour of Pilates at 6 or 7am. I'm done by the time my household is awake. I don't do it every day, and if I need to cancel, I cancel."
