Abbey Clancy reveals the secret to her post-pregnancy body with HELLO!

February 16, 2016

Abbey Clancy is looking in better shape than ever after turning 30 last month. Speaking to HELLO! the Britain's Next Top Model star, who has two daughter with footballer husband Peter Crouch, revealed that she feels "happy and healthy and good" - and shared her secret to staying in shape.

Abbey, who welcomed second daughter Liberty in November, wowed fans when she was pictured last month looking svelte on a break in Dubai. "I did go back to normal quite quickly," she tells HELLO!. "But it definitely took longer with the second one."

Abbey Clancy talked all things fitness with HELLO!

However, the British beauty confessed there's no secret to her post-pregnancy body transformation. "My family's all quite thin, so we're quite blessed genetically that way, but you shouldn't just exercise to feel skinny or thin," she explains. "It puts you in a healthy mind-set. It clears your mind and makes you feel strong; it's not all about losing weight for me."

Abbey's healthy attitude to exercise makes her the perfect ambassador for Reebok's colourful and bold spring/summer 2016 collection. She was on hand last week to help launch the line at JD Sports on London's Oxford Street.

"Reebok are quite fashion-forward with their clothes. You can put this stuff on, go to the gym, then go for a coffee with the girls and still feel stylish. It's practical too. You can just wear it and pretend you're going to the gym if you want," she says. "Liberty weighs more than 10 kilos now, she's so heavy, it's like a workout every time I pick her up. And Sophia still wants picking up as well and she's massive."

Renowned for her love of all things fitness, there's one particular workout plan the star misses – the gruelling training regime she underwent during her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.

"It’s exercise without realising you're doing it; dancing for seven hours a day. When I look back on pictures I'm like, 'God, I was so ripped'. It was too much. But my body does change so quickly. I lost my boobs, I lost my curves. I looked like a muscly teenage boy," she jokes.

"But you have to make time to exercise – it's important. Especially with my job. I need to keep in shape and keeping fit is a nice release. You feel healthy and strong and that's my motivation. It makes me feel good."

She added: "But now I'm 30, I have to do that little bit extra to keep myself in shape."
