Jennifer Lawrence has spoken candidly about the body image issues women face, particularly when it comes to the world of Hollywood. Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about body image

"I would like us to make a new normal-body type," she told Harper's Bazaar magazine for its May cover story. "Everybody says, 'We love that there is somebody with a normal body!' and I'm like, 'I don't feel like I have a normal body'."

The Hunger Games star admitted that although she does allow herself to indulge, her action movie-filled career often sees her working out and focusing on a healthier diet than the average person. "I do Pilates every day," she said. "I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person."

She added: "I think we've gotten so used to underweight that when you are a normal weight it's like, 'Oh, my god, she's curvy'. Which is crazy. The bare minimum, just for me, would be to up the ante."

It's not the first time that Jennifer has promoted a positive, healthy body image message. The Silver Linings Playbook star has previously admitted that she tries to find a healthy balance between staying in shape and indulging in her favourite foods, which famously include burgers and fries.

"I could never live on a diet," she wrote in the fitness guru's new book The Feelgood Plan. "Dalton taught me how to eat, move and live a delicious but healthy life. I will always thank him for that."
