Emma Thompson is kicking off the new year feeling better than ever, and it's all thanks to a new fitness routine. The 57-year-old has revealed that she dropped two sizes in six weeks thanks to the help of personal trainer Louise Parker, crediting the fitness guru for creating a healthy regime which didn't involve cutting out some of Emma's favourite indulgences from a glass of wine to "cheesy Wotsits".
The Love Actually star sung Louise's praises in a foreword for the trainer's new book The Louise Parker Method: Lean For Life: The Cookbook, explaining that she turned to Louise to get her in shape because of her "sustainable" regime and down-to-earth attitude.
Emma Thompson revealed she has dropped two dress sizes
"Louise is the only one out there I trust – she's not holier than thou," explained Emma, before adding that her trainer "miraculously" continues to convince her to exercise and maintain her impressive results.
The Saving Mr Banks star explained that despite her weight loss she didn't want to follow a specific diet. "I love that her method is NOT a diet – and is genuinely sustainable," she admitted. "So I can have my glass of wine and manage to avoid spending the rest of the week eating cheesy Wotsits."
She credited trainer Louise Parker for her success
She added: "She toughens me up without driving me round the bend with kale juice and the more depressing style of sprout. She just gets it."
It's no doubt set to be a busy year already for the actress, who voices Mrs Potts in Disney's upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast. The highly-anticipated film features an all-star cast including Emma Watson as Belle, with Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens taking on the role of the Beast. Meanwhile, other famous faces include Ewan McGregor and Sir Ian McKellen who will be voicing servants-turned-household objects Lumiere and Cogsworth.
