Madonna may have her hands full after recently adopting twin daughters Stella and Esther, but she still finds time to work out for up to five hours a day, according to a personal trainer. SoulCycle Master Instructor Stacey Griffith spoke out about the Material Girl's work ethic in a Q&A with US talk show host Kelly Ripa in New York earlier this week.

Madonna reportedly works out up to five hours a day
"It's surreal… those moments when I think about moments in my life that I would want to have happen and I do my visualisations in my own way, in my own special way in my office. I do my meditations and my mantras, and one day I was in the room doing a private, just me at like 3:30 in the afternoon. Music playing. It's me, Madonna and Craig, her trainer," she said. "I'm like 'Hang on a second, Stacey. You're training Madonna. Just sit in it for a second."

Madonna has long been a fitness fanatic, and opened her own chain of Hard Candy Fitness gyms in 2010. Craig Smith, who has trained the singer for the past two years, has previously revealed the type of workouts he follows with Madonna, which include a mix of yoga, martial arts and boxing with weight training. "Her favourite workout is something that's all inclusive of cardio… focusing on combining all the elements from upper body, lower body and core," Craig told Daily Mail Australia.
Madonna recently adopted twins Stella and Esther
The 58-year-old has had a life-changing start to the year after being granted an adoption of twin girls from Malawi in early February. Sharing a snap of herself holding hands with the two girls, she wrote: "I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family. I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time."
