Jeff Brazier has revealed that Jade Goody, the mother of his two children, would still be alive today if she had been vaccinated against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) when she was in school. Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, the life coach said: "Jade would still be here if she had had the vaccination, if it had been available when she was at school. It wasn't then, but it is now."

The father-of-two, who is raising awareness together with Dr Christian Jessen about the vaccination which is available privately to boys over the age of 12, confessed he had had a very awkward conversation with his eldest son Bobby about how the virus is passed on.

"Thanks to this campaign I've been able to have this conversation with my children, about sexual activity," said Jeff, 37. "It's awkward and uncomfortable but I need to let them know of the risks and dangers out there when they do become sexually active. I've been having this conversation for years but now they are 12 and 13, Bobby especially, it will not be long before he is in a situation where something might happen and it's my job to make sure he knows exactly what he is getting in to and makes choices based on an informed knowledge. My job is to prepare them for adulthood and this is part of it," he explains.

Jade Goody lost her fight with cancer in March 2009, less than a year after being diagnosed. Last month marked eight years since her death on the same week as Mother's Day. Jeff took to Twitter to reveal his sons' pain at having to deal with the special day and the anniversary of their mother's death in the same week.

The 37-year-old told his followers that the past few days were a "cruel blow" for his boys, Bobby, 13, and Freddie, 12. "Glad last week's over. I try & reduce the impact but having Jades anniversary & Mother's Day in the same week is a cruel blow for the boys," he shared.

Among those remembering the reality star on her anniversary was Jack Tweed, who shared a heartfelt tribute to his late wife on Instagram. Jack, who married Jade just a few weeks before her death, took to social media to share a photo of the pair together on the red carpet, smiling for the cameras. He wrote: "5th June, 1981 – 22nd March 2009. #RememberJade #rip #smeartest."
