If you've always been a budding horse rider or used to take lessons, you're going to love Aldi's new Specialbuys, launching this weekend. The budget supermarket is helping to get more keen horse riders in the saddle by launching a new equestrian range and discount horse riding lessons.

For the first time ever, Aldi has partnered with two prestigious UK horse riding schools to offer lessons from £21 each - a discount of 30 per cent compared to normal prices. The deal is part of its Rein It In campaign, which hopes to make the sport more accessible to all, after research found that nearly one fifth of ex-riders were forced to stop their hobby because it was too expensive.

Along with more budget-friendly lessons, they'll be selling a full range of equestrian clothing such as riding breeches, boots, jackets and socks, so you can get kitted out for riding on a budget, as everything in the collection costs under £20.

Adults and children alike can benefit from the offer, with 30-minute lessons available at Summerhouse Equestrian in Cheltenham and Parbold Equestrian in Lancashire. The lessons will teach riders how to mount and dismount a horse, develop balance and control, stopping and steering, along with learning how to ask the horse to walk, canter and halt. With prices starting from £21 per lesson, it's a great way for parents to introduce their children to horse riding without breaking the bank. But as always, you'll have to get in quick, as Aldi's Specialbuys have limited availability and sell out fast!
