If you prefer gin to the gym, then prepare to have no excuse to not get moving with the latest fitness craze – gin yoga. Incorporating yoga moves with a few G&Ts is said to give "extra relaxation" to the class.

Run by the Humber Street Distillery in Hull, Yin and Gin Yoga is an hour and a half of slow and gentle Yin and Yang flow, led by yoga-instructor Emily Worsnop. She told Hull Live: "The gin will give extra relaxation to the class. It's about people being aware of the taste within their mouth, the texture and being aware of the journey from their mouth to their throat and all the way down to their stomach. It's great for people who may be intimidated by yoga. It really is a journey inwards and it will help people really focus and follow a journey and appreciate yoga for what it really is."

The one and a half hour class, held once a month, starts with a series of slow Yin Yoga, followed by Yang, which is faster-paced and finishes with a relaxing Yin sequence again. Each ticket includes two gin and tonics, but there are none-alcoholic drinks are available for those who want to ohm with an orange juice or go into child's pose with a coconut water instead. The class is hoped to make yoga more accessible to people, especially those who are nervous about trying a class and it's open to all levels, so even beginners can join in.

But gin yoga isn't the first class to combine alcohol and the downward dog; there's also studios around the world that hold beer yoga, wine yoga and even drunk yoga classes and if alcohol isn't your thing, maybe goat yoga or dog yoga is the session for you?
