Many of us may have great intentions of toning up in 2022, but it's not always easy to make time to go to the gym, especially as many of us are working from home now. If workout DVDs seem a tad passé, then it's time to download a fitness app – and there are some brilliant celebrity workout apps online right now.

The great thing about an app is you can train anytime, any place, on your own, dress however you choose AND many of these apps have no contract, making them even more appealing.

Davina McCall's fitness app: Own Your Own Goals

TV presenter Davina is known for her committed approach to fitness and now she has a workout app of her own. You'll find a huge variety of workouts including yoga, HIIT, boxing and dance, with a new class every day you work out. There is currently a 'January Challenge' to get involved in and the app offers a 'community of like-minded women, all on their own fitness journeys'. On the nutrition side, Davina's app has quick, simple recipes with a helpful video.

Lucy Mecklenburgh's fitness app: Results Wellness Lifestyle 

Fitfluencer Lucy Mecklenburgh created her own fitness app Results Wellness Lifestyle along with PT Cecilia Harris. RWL gives users workouts and recipes on the go, and features 1600 workouts, a supportive community, events and live classes. It also includes 900 recipes, plus diet tips and mindset training.

Gemma Atkinson's fitness app: Stronger

Strictly star and actress Gemma had a baby girl in July 2019 but has toned up with the help of her personal trainer 'Evil Steve' who'll take you through your paces on her popular fitness app Stronger. Her workouts are available on TRUCONNECT by TV.Fitt which you can stream to your TV, tablet or smartphone via the app, giving you access to over 150 home workouts which include weights and HIIT sessions.

Jessica Ennis-Hill's fitness app: Jennis 

Olympic athlete Jessica Ennis-Hill knows her stuff when it comes to fitness so you're training with the very best on this app. 

Jennis CycleMapping is a new training system that helps you map different fitness sessions to the four phases of your menstrual cycle, so that you get fitter and stronger and more energised. It also reduces hormone imbalances and builds lean muscle.

The programme was created by Jessica and Physiologist, Dr Emma Ross, who use expert knowledge of female physiology to create personalised training programmes. Sounds amazing!

Chris Hemsworth's fitness app: Centr

Gorgeous actor Chris Hemsworth has his own app called Centr, created by him, his wife Elsa Pataky and a team of fitness experts including elite trainers, celebrity chefs and wellbeing experts. 

The app lets you customise the program to suit your level and offers daily workouts, meal plans, meditations and 24/7 community support. Centr’s also has a closed Facebook group giving members a supportive environment to chat to each other and receive extra workout tips.

Myleene Klass' fitness app: My Body by Myleene

Myleene always looks super toned so it's no surprise that she created her own workout app.

The 12-week home workout programme includes three different workout styles for a full-body workout, broken down into three phases and gets progressively more challenging as you go.

Each week you will carry out 3 x 30-minute workouts with the option of adding an additional workout of your choice. The three workout styles are 'MyPower' (up-tempo fat-burning cardio workouts), 'MyStrength' (functional loaded movement exercises using a 3.5KG Sandbell) and 'MyCore' (slow tempo core work with adapted Pilates and yoga moves).
