BBC Breakfast weather presenter Carol Kirkwood took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a health update that left fans worried.

The TV favourite wrote: "Pollen levels today are high or very high everywhere today," letting her hay fever struck fans know to be cautious. She also issued the warning on Tuesday, writing: "Pollen levels today are high or very high across much of the UK."

Following both warnings, Carol's fans replied in their droves. One wrote: "That's me inside again! Want it to be over," while another said: "Oh no no no," while many simply thanked the presenter for the update.

Carol hasn't said whether she suffers with hay fever herself, but she shared a selection of pretty floral pictures, so we'd be inclined to say pollen doesn't impact her life.

The presenter had a busy day yesterday, revealing she spent the day signing copies of her new book, The Hotel On The Riviera, with fans expressing concern for how hard she's working.

Carol Kirkwood often works outside, so is unlikely to suffer from hay fever

"So so hardworking," one wrote, while another said: "Heavy work!"

Carol shared that she was walking back from work this morning, sharing photos of the views she spotted along the way.

She didn't share whether she was walking out of choice, or because of the rail strikes, but has previously shared a passion for walking, revealing it to be one of her favourite methods of working out.

"It's just nice to clear your mind, relax and soak in the beautiful scenery," she said.
