Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz Marsland bought a 120-acre farm in the Peak District in 2021, documenting their new life in BBC show, Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure.
In an exclusive chat with HELLO! as the couple front the latest FatFace campaign, the Kelvin and Liz shared how taking a leap out of their comfort zone made them happier than ever, although it wasn't always plain sailing.
Speaking of their decision to move to a farm despite having no experience, Liz explained: "It was something we had no idea what to do. And although Kelvin had been a farmer in Emmerdale for 20 years, he had absolutely no idea what to do with livestock.
"We've learned from day one, and I saw Kelvin do some stuff in the barn the other day and I actually said, 'I cannot believe how much you've come on,'" Liz continued, marvelling at her husband's newfound skill.
Kelvin was equally wowed by how much he's learned, adding: "Every day is a lesson. We had the vet over yesterday because we had a sheep who wasn't very well. I remember he came over last year and I was so overwhelmed. I thought we'd bitten off more than we could chew because just the prospect of tackling that felt so beyond my grasp and it was daunting.
"But I had a kind of resilience where I just think, 'What I don't know today, I will know tomorrow'. When I realised how much I'd learned, I was just giddy and excited because I could see how far I had come.

"I felt a thirst for more and I was quietly impressed with myself about how far I've come. It's just stepping into the unknown and embracing it and accepting that you're going to be a little bit lost."
Kelvin and Liz's happiness at discovering a new skill is a common reaction to stepping out of our comfort zones.
"When we step out of our comfort zone, we learn more about ourselves," explains wellness expert Dr. Radha Modgil. "We become more resilient in terms of discovering skills we never knew we had and building confidence and self-esteem, as well as opening ourselves up to new opportunities," she told HELLO!
"When we step out of our comfort zone, we rediscover the skills, talent, and potential and the sense of openness we had as a child," Dr. Radha continues.

It wasn't just challenging themselves to learn a new skill that boosted Kelvin and Liz's happiness – spending time outside has also made them and their four children, Marnie, six, Milo, four, and baby twins Maximum and Mateusz, happier.
"Just getting outdoors and being at one with nature definitely puts a change in your mood. As soon as we get out, we instantly feel better," Liz said.
"The kids have become keen farmers, especially Milo, who is coming into his own now and enjoys being in the tractor," Kelvin shared.
