Mama June has shared the heartbreaking news that her 28-year-old daughter Anna 'Chickadee' Cardwell has been diagnosed with stage four adrenal carcinoma, which is a tumor - of any size- that has spread to other parts of the body.
The TLC star of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo took to Instagram to share a link to the TMZ story, which first broke the news. Anna, who is Mama June's eldest daughter, was diagnosed in January, and cancer has been discovered in her liver, kidney and lung.
Honey Boo Boo - real name Alana Thompson - also shared the news, with the 17-year-old writing "And this is what I mean when I say you never truly know what somebody is going through at home. No matter how famous they are. Yes, I am very famous but normal [expletive] happens to me and my family and ya'll need to realize that asap."
Anna reportedly underwent her first round of chemotherapy last month.
The 28-year-old is a mom of two; she welcomed daughter Kaitlyn Elizabeth in 2012, and daughter Kylee Madison in 2015. She has been dating Eldridge Toney since 2019.

"These crazy kids of mine decided before they go to their dad's house they want to give me a heart attack and catch a chipmunk and bring it in the house and [they] wanted it as a pet," Anna shared on Instagram with fans just two days ago.
It was her second of two posts that she shared that day, her first since July 2022. "
Well I ain’t posted here in a while. Your girl is back, sorry for the photo dump that’s going to happen hahah I love y’all and I hope y’all hope y’all are having a good week," she captioned a selfie she had taken.
"Sending prayers, love, and hugs. I'm sorry you're going through this. You're far too young," commented one fan after the news broke, with another writing: "I was absolutely heartbroken when I heard the news. Nobody, especially not someone your age, should have to go through something like that."
