Kevin Bacon supported his wife Kyra Sedgwick this week as she launched a campaign via social media to help people to try and combat a low mood.
The Footloose actor showed his support for Kyra by liking an Instagram reel in which she described the moments of sadness that she sometimes gets caught feeling over the weekend, dubbed by her as the 'Sunday Saddies'.
The 64-year-old has also been supporting the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star on his own Instagram account by celebrating some of the activities she does in order to fight her negative mood swings.
Meanwhile, Kyra has been promoting her various ways of getting over the Sunday Saddies to her followers in videos such as her reel.
"Wanna know why I'm frantically doing all these activities?" The Closer actress wrote on her Instagram story on Thursday.
"Let's talk about this thing called the Sunday Saddies," she then said as an explanation. "You know, that [moment] where you wake up on a Sunday morning and you're just… really not feeling that good about yourself?"
Kyra believes this feeling can hit anybody at any time in their lives: "Maybe it was just a really crappy weekend," she described, "Or you just didn't do all the fun things that you thought you were going to do – or you didn't finish your homework.

"To this day, I still get those and I call them the 'Sunday Saddies'," the Space Oddity director continued.
Kyra's tips for combatting these low mood moments which she shared in her reel on April 16 included going for walks, listening to music, singing, and dancing.
The 57-year-old also revealed that one of her favorite ways to get rid of her moments of sadness is to sing. "That's the main reason why I play the ukulele," before adding self-depreciatively but proudly: "I sing loud, and play mediocrely."

"The key is to just keep on going," Kyra advised, before adding as she signed off: "The number one headline thing to remember more than anything is: don't contemplate your life on a Sunday!"
Kevin and Kyra have been together for over 35 years. Despite their close bond, the two creatives haven't worked together much, although they did recently collaborate on Kyra's film Space Oddity.
