Chris Hemsworth's superhero diet revealed: The secret to transforming into Thor

Chris Hemsworth, the charismatic Australian actor known for his role as the mighty Thor, has a diet to match his superhero persona. 

Dan Churchill, Hemsworth's personal chef and the mastermind behind the actor's fitness app, Centr, divulged some fascinating details about the star's eating habits when bulking up for his action-packed roles.

As part of his preparation, the Marvel superhero consumes an astounding 4,500 calories per day, split into ten separate meals.

Dan who has worked closely with Hemsworth for three years described the actor's dedication to his meal plan as requiring immense discipline. 

"He often has to sacrifice taste and flavor to get the job done," Dan told Daily Mail.

Despite the demanding regimen, Hemsworth doesn't shy away from enjoying his favorite meals.

These include steak, rice-based dishes, broccoli, chicken, and banana protein shakes. "Chris is an unbelievable ambassador to Australia, and I'm so blessed to work with him," Dan shared, emphasizing the dad-of-three’s relatable and genuine nature.

The actor's extraordinary commitment to his Thor physique has been a topic of conversation before. 

In 2021, Chris’ trainer Luke Zocchi and longtime stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton offered a glimpse into the rigorous effort required to maintain such an impressive form. 

"Chris takes it very, very seriously, and the shape he gets into, it's phenomenal," Hanton said, having doubled for the actor in 13 films.

Achieving these goals is no easy feat, but the trio has developed a winning formula over the last decade. 

According to Luke, a childhood friend of Hemsworth, the secret lies in "consistency, hard work, and also eating the right foods."

Complementing his remarkable calorie intake, Hemsworth relies on a consistent training regimen. This includes heavy weightlifting sessions lasting no more than an hour, often twice daily. 

"It's normally an intense, heavy workout," Luke explained, emphasizing the focus on efficiency and pushing Chris to his limits.

To keep things fresh, Chris incorporates a mix of boxing, HIIT training, and other fitness techniques into his routine. 

Bobby believes that finding a balance is crucial to achieving the best possible results for each film. "We try and take the best parts of many different styles," he said.
