The Magic Mike's Last Dance star is ready to embrace a summer by the water again

Salma Hayek loves nothing more than a good day spent by the water with a few laps here and there, and with the return of warmer weather comes more opportunity for such days.

The actress took to social media to provide a glimpse of her weekend by the ocean, jetting out on her boat for a quick swim.

She shared photos of herself emerging from her dip wearing a highlighter yellow bikini that highlighted her toned physique, posing in the setting sun as her slicked back hair lay behind her.

"Every time I need to feel renewed I jump into the ocean," she captioned her snaps, and the 56-year-old was quickly inundated with droves of compliments.

"Like a fine wine," one simply commented, while another joked: "I just had 19 heart attacks," while a third gushed: "What a beautiful little mermaid," and several others just left flame emojis.

The relaxing break comes at the right time for the Oscar-nominated actress, who recently spent a few weeks jet-setting around the world, from Jordan to Kenya.

The actress has consistently looked stunning in swimwear

In the midst of it all, it was announced that Salma had been honored with a spot on TIME's list of the 100 most influential people in the world of 2023.

What made it even more special was the dedication, which had been written by her close friend and fellow Latina Hollywood star, Penelope Cruz.

Salma enjoys spending a day by the water

"I originally met Salma Hayek Pinault when I had my first offer to do an American film," Penelope wrote. "I knew almost no  one in the U.S., but she picked me up from the airport and took me to her house.

"Meeting her was like reuniting with a sister you hadn't seen in a long time. It was 100% trust from our first conversation. She's incredibly generous – it's something she extends to everyone, but especially other women."

The mom-of-one expressed her gratitude for the honor and her friend's loving words, writing on social media of Penelope's tribute: "You made me flash back to the beginning of our friendship and my career and I felt overwhelmed with gratitude towards my fans, friends & family who have supported me throughout the three decades of work."
