And now celebrated nail artist Marian Newman has put her expertise to even better use for manicure fans with the launch of her own range.
Dispensed from a pen instead of a bottle, Marian's new Inkcredibles nail paints are water based, meaning they're easy to apply with either hand because you can simply wash mistakes off your skin. On the nail they dry in less than 20 seconds, ready for the application of Wrapture, a glossy topcoat that seals the colour.
"For so many years, we've struggled with nail polish, applying it with each hand, keeping it neat, waiting for it to dry, watching it chip," says Marian. "Inkredibles isn't meant to replace the conventional manicure, but it is a quick and easy alternative designed for those who don't want to have to decide the colour of their nails for that week on a Sunday night. The range gives you the option to change your colour when it suits – three times a day if necessary."
There will be 16 opaque colours in the range, including Midnight, a deep, dark blue; Gold Leaf, a dense metallic; and Black Beth, another dark shade, named after one of Marian's biggest fans, singer Beth Ditto.
