L'Oreal's new spokesmodel Gwen Stefani leaves no doubt that the magic's in the make-up as she makes her debut in the 'Infallible Le Rouge' promotional video

When Gwen Stefani joined the L'Oreal label as a spokesmodel last month, adding her name to a long list of glamorous faces including Jennifer Lopez , Beyonce Knowles and Rachel Weisz, she described herself as a “lucky, lucky girl.” The multi-talented mother-of-two was obviously excited about her new role, admitting, “I love playing dress up, on stage or shooting videos, it’s always been one of my favorite parts of being in a band. And to get to work with such a modern, talented group of people is really exciting.”

The French cosmetics firm are clearly delighted to have her on board, too. “She takes beauty to another dimension, somewhere between style and art. A rock star and fashion icon, she’s definitely a modern muse of her time”, says Cyril Chapuy, Global Brand President of L’Oreal.

And we can't help agreeing now we've had a chance to see her in action as she debuts in the new advert for the 'Infallible Le Rouge' range. The innovative lipstick formula contains hydrating vitamin E to deliver long-lasting hi-definition colour and shine, and with 30 different shades available, there's something to suit everyone. The video shoot features the platinum blonde songstress strutting her stuff in a variety of stylish outfits, but with one constant: bold 'ravishing red' for lips and matching nails. The magic's in the make up – and in Gwen, too.
