Heidi Klum won over everyone in her visit to Madrid for the beauty brand Astor’s 60th birthday.Dressed in a short, form-fitting fuchsia Dolce & Gabbana dress and wearing Louboutin black shoes, the German model showed off her radiant smile in one of the capital’s big shopping malls. Cheerful and friendly, she said she was delighted to be in Spain and to be the icon of a brand like Astor, to which she's always felt very close and for whom she collaborates as artistic advisor.
"Every woman is different. Make-up depends on the occasion and on each one’s own style, whether it be sexy or a more classic look. In Astor, there are a great variety of colours to choose from: some bright and some more neutral," she confided. Top model tricksThe Astor ambassador didn't hesitate in sharing some of her beauty tips with everyone. "Make-up can make a woman feel better if she likes to wear it. In your everyday life, just a little is enough: when you get up in the morning and feel tired, wearing a bit of base, blush and mascara can make you feel more beautiful and secure. "When you go out at night and want to feel sexier, you just put on a pretty dress and use a bit more make-up. But in your day-to-day, those little touches can really boost your confidence." Heidi then gave us her own particular trick for getting the best out of make-up: "I’m all for enhancing the eyes or the lips, but not both at the same time. If you’re wearing blue or green eye shadow, a bit of pink is enough for the lips. If you go for a more eye-catching colour for the lips, use more natural tones for the eyes."
Model becomes make-up artist One of the moments we were all waiting for was her make-up session, when she was to become an Astor official make-up artist for a day. She, who herself has so frequently trusted the expertise of professional make-up artists, changed roles and demonstrated that she has skills of her own. Heidi created three different looks and walked us through the steps of each: a summer look; a more urban one; and one for going out at night. The three fortunate women who put themselves in her hands were two bloggers and the winner of a contest Astor had launched on the web. We all agree that it's a true privilege to put yourself in the hands of one of the last decade's most celebrated models.
