Get the look: Cara vs Poppy Delevingne

April 2, 2013

If there was an award for sisters doing it for themselves then Cara and Poppy Delevingne would definitely top the list of siblings for their showstopping beauty looks.

Proving that good looks run in the family, the camera can't get enough of the fashionable duo as Poppy, 26, and Cara, 20, work their boho and tomboy looks on and off the runway. Here's how to get the Delevingne look two ways...

TEAM CARA

Model of the year, and the youngest Delevingne, Cara has gone from strength to strength since her early days at Burberry in 2012. Now almost solely responsible for re-igniting the love for big and bold brows in the beauty world, Cara's fuss-free tomboy chic is a look coveted by many.

For a simple barely-there base a multi-use tinted balm such as Jouer's Luminizing Moisture Tint works wonders for a sheer, glowing complexion. Combining a radiance-enhancing highlighter and light foundation coverage for imperfections, this cream can be smoothed over the skin a natural daytime look.

Cara's look is all about good bone structure and a well-defined brow. To sculpt sky-high cheekbones worthy of any model, brush a matte, shimmer free bronzer on an angled contour brush and apply in a triangular shape under the cheek bone. Take the colour up to the temples and over the top of your nose for an overall glow. Cara professes a love for Tweezerman's brow kit but for anyone whose brows need a tad less taming, a pencil will do the trick. Hourglass' Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil is fantastic for filling in sparse areas and topped off with the model’s favourite Anastasia Brow Gel this face-framing combination great for keeping the look in place.

TEAM POPPY

Elder sister Poppy has Californian cool down and dusted with staple boho-chic beachy waves and a lightly freckled face.

To emulate Poppy's immaculate yet natural looking complexion a sheer glow foundation dotted only on blemishes and around the centre of the face for a successful 'no make-up, make-up' effect.

Poppy's volounmous eyelashes are a standout feature and are easy to achieve. Always begin with a good set of curlers and give your lashes two or three squeezes before applying a false false lash effect mascara such as Clinique's High Impact Mascara for a lengthy lift without any of the smudging side-effects.

A gloss of orange-based red lipstick is the perfect way to add a pop of Poppy-esque glamour to your look. Poppy is often spotted wearing the shade at evening events, apply the colour with fingertips instead of from the bullet for a kissable yet highly pigmented effect.
