Kylie Jenner is renowned for her full, plump lips, so the 18-year-old surprised the beauty world on Tuesday when she admitted that she wants "small lips". This marks a significant change of heart for the Keeping up with the Kardashians star, who has previously turned to make-up tricks and temporary lip fillers to enhance her pout.
Kylie Jenner has admitted she wants her lips "to look small"
"You know what's weird? I've been into small lips lately," Kylie confessed during a beauty tutorial on her website with renowned make-up artist Joyce Bonelli. "Like, I want them to look small."
While Kylie admitted during an episode of her family's hit reality TV show that she used temporary lip fillers to help achieve her plump-lipped look, she has always remained adamant that she would avoid a permanent change.
"I would recommend that anyone who gets it done go for a filler that lasts only two to four months," she told the New York Times. "It's annoying to keep going back, but you have the option of stopping it."
Mother Kris Jenner also opened up about her daughter's plastic surgery, revealing that she was initially "really upset" as she never gave Kylie permission to undergo the procedure.
The young star is renowned for her regular makeovers
"I got really upset, and then it was done, and I had to let it go," the 59-year-old matriarch told Access Hollywood. "Once that was done, it's just my kid. I love my kid. We make mistakes."
That the young teen is changing her mind isn't surprising – Kylie is renowned for often switching up her look, particularly when it comes to her hair. In recent months, the star has rocked a wide variety of shades including grey, blonde, blue and green, all in different styles from long wavy locks to a short bob.
The American beauty took to her app to explain her regular makeovers, admitting she liked feeling "like a new person".
"I first dyed my hair when I was 16. I dyed it blue and I never even asked my mom," she confessed. "After that, I've just had this addiction to changing my hair. It makes me feel like a new person. I love feeling different and I love leaving the house knowing that nobody has ever seen me this way."
