Contouring is one of the beauty world's biggest trends, championed by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, alongside endless tutorials on how to master the craze by beauty bloggers. However, renowned make-up artist Bobbi Brown has revealed that she "doesn't believe in" contouring, which sees women using make-up to sculpt their faces.
Kim Kardashian champions the contouring trend
"I'm not coming out with any products that are called contouring," she said at Fashionista's How to Make It in Fashion conference. "It's not what I believe in. It says that there's something wrong with your face as is and there is nothing wrong with it."
Bobbi, who counts the Duchess of Cambridge as a fan, admitted that while she does see the benefits of contouring, she doesn't think it should be used in day-to-day life. "Contouring is good when you're on stage, at a fashion shoot or on the runway," she said.
The 58-year-old also confessed that she prefers a natural approach to skincare, especially when it comes to ageing.

"I have a vision for when I'm 80, and I want to look old and normal," she said. "It's not about looking young, it's about looking healthier."
Bobbi's not the first star to speak out about the portrayal of older women in the media. Actress Jennifer Connelly recently opened up about why she doesn't see the appeal of turning to plastic surgery.
"We equate beauty for women with youth, and that's sad," she told More magazine. "It's a shame it's so hard for so many of us to appreciate the beauty of an older woman and to accept it in ourselves. I don't want to erase my history on my face."
