"Sometimes I put a little gold eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes," the Crazy in Love singer told Elle. "It's more subtle than white, but it still really makes you look more awake."

The X Factor judge often rocks smokey eyes, and revealed her easy tricks to quickly achieving the glamorous look. "I use a liquid liner across the top of my lashes," she told Stylist. "Starting in the corner of the eye and following it across, then I always use a black kohl for the inside of the eye and just smudge it in."

Jennifer revealed that she always follows the same beauty rules to keep her complexion looking so radiant. "It’s the simple things: getting a full night’s sleep, eating right, drinking a lot of water. I drink so much water it’s painful. I always have and I think that helps," she told Red. "Those are the basics – if you’re not doing those things —there is not a miracle product that will help."

Taylor Swift

The Shake it Off hitmaker often rocks a statement red lipstick, and admitted she had learned a few tricks from make-up artists to keep her pout looking flawless. "They put on the red lipstick, then blot it with a tissue, then they put powder over the tissue and sort of press it onto your lips. Then re-apply. It turns it into a stain that lasts much longer."

Blake Lively

"I like a very natural eye make-up look but when I wear black eyeliner, I like to add a little dark navy pencil on the inner rim – it makes my blue eyes look electric." the former Gossip Girl star told Marie Claire.

The fashionista may be renowned for her style, but she confessed her hair and make-up is just as important to making or breaking a look. "Whether it's a bold statement with smokey eyes or a more clean look, make-up really ties your whole look together. Personally, I love a matte foundation and a little bit of light contour, with a nude lip and smokey eyes." she told Byrdie.

Kim Kardashian

Often hailed as the queen of contouring, Kim has previously shared her step-by-step guide to achieving her look. "I put on all my foundation first," she said. "I powder my face, then I put on concealer, and blend it with a pink egg-like sponge. Then I contour all here – think of a three. [With her finger she draws an invisible three on the side of her face]. I go cheekbones, under chin, then the top."

Eva Mendes

The Ghost Rider actress shared a handy trick for ensuring her make-up lasts all day. "Believe it or not, after I've applied my make-up, if I really want it to stay all day, I run the hot shower for a minute and I let the steam settle my make-up. I know it sounds weird but it works for me!"

Drew Barrymore

"To glam up, I usually focus on the minor things – like my eyebrows. I may add a more defined look to them. I may also play up the colours," the star said of her red carpet beauty looks. "I'll use darker colours than I normally would – and I'll add blush. When I get a little braver, that's when I'll try yellow eyeliner or another neat colour."
