Ellie Goulding has revealed that as she gets older, she is feeling increasingly comfortable in her skin. The 28-year-old admitted that ageing has given her "this confidence that I never had before", particularly when it comes to body image and trying to use make-up to hide what she perceived as her flaws.

Ellie, who has collaborated with MAC Cosmetics on a range set to launch this December, opened up her teen years and her struggle with body confidence.
"I've definitely been through phases of trying things to make my face look different," the singer told Stylist. "But now I’m older I’ve grown this confidence that I never had before. Rather than change my features, I now wear make-up to enhance them – which is why I guess I’m drawn to natural shades like the ones in my Mac Halcyon Nights palette for eyes and cheeks."
The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker also revealed that she prefers a barely-there make-up look, and hopes women will use products to enhance their natural beauty and increase their own confidence.

"No woman ever has to rely on make-up for self-confidence. With my collaboration I want to encourage the idea that the natural look is still very beautiful. It’s like making the best of yourself isn’t it?"
It's not just beauty which the star feeling confident. Ellie recently admitted that she had taken up boxing workouts, noticing a difference in her stamina and left with a sense of being "empowered".
"Boxing is very animalistic and there's a lot of adrenaline in it," she told Marie Claire. "It has helped my stamina. When I'm onstage, I feel like I could go on forever.
"Without wanting to use that clichéd word, I feel empowered. I've got the power to defend myself. It's a great feeling to know that you don't have to have a bloke around to protect you."
