While it may be a good few years before Princess Charlottefirst experiments with make-up herself, the nine-month-old royal has already made her mark on the beauty world. As part of the Marc Jacobs Beauty launch in London, it was announced that the latest lipstick shade from the Le Marc Lip Crème collection is named after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter.

Princess Charlotte inspired the new Marc Jacobs Beauty lipstick

"We wanted to commemorate this major brand milestone by creating a custom shade of Le Marc Lip Crème," Catherine Gore, global Vice President and General Manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty revealed in an interview with WWD.

According to Catherine, the new shade created in honour of the Princess was "inspired by the deepest saturated pink tones of an English rose".

Currently exclusive to the iconic British department store Harrods, 'Charlotte' is a deep rose pink shade celebrating the toddler Princess’s complexion.

As well as the new shade, Marc Jacobs Beauty has taken over Harrods’ iconic window displays, with the department store's Head of Beauty, Mia Collins adding that "We have never done colour cosmetics in our windows, so the Marc Jacobs team has allowed us to make history."

If Charlotte’s style influence is anything like her mother the Duchess of Cambridgenée Kate Middleton, it should only be a matter of time before stocks of the £24 tube sell out.

With this latest news putting Princess Charlotte in the spotlight again, the youngest royal is living up to her number one position on Tatler’s Most Influential list, described by the high-society magazine as the list of "people who really matter".

Only a month ago, the fourth-in-line to the throne topped the list, beating 619 candidates to the post including her parents Prince William and Kate in second and third place, her brother Prince George in fourth place, and most surprisingly, her great-grandmother the Queen in fifth place.
