Kylie Jenner kept her fans guessing in February when she shared a sneak peek of a new red tattoo on her arm in a photo on Instagram without revealing what the design was. Now, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star has once again taken to the social media website, this time posting a close-up of the inking and revealing it is a touching tribute to her grandparents.
Kylie Jenner has revealed the meaning behind her latest tattoo
"Grandmothers name in my grandfathers handwriting," she explained to her 52.3 million followers, alongside a snap of the red tattoo reading 'Mary Jo' - her grandmother's first name - placed on her forearm.
The 18-year-old also expanded on her decision to honour her grandparents with the artwork, when one of her fans asked her on Twitter what had prompted her to go for the tattoo.
"I was close to my grandfather but he has passed," wrote Kylie. "Wanted to honor both of them."
Renowned for her edgy style, this isn't the first tattoo which Kylie has gone for. The reality TV star already has a small inking on her hip, with the phonetic spelling of 'Sanity'. Kylie shared a Snapchat video of herself at the tattoo parlour back in November, grimacing in pain before playfully holding up her hand in a "shush" pose.

It's been a busy start to the year for Kylie, who has been working hard to expand her already successful beauty empire which saw her lip kits selling out within seconds when they launched last year.
Since then, Kylie has become a brand ambassador for Nip+Fab, launched her own beauty company Kylie Cosmetics, and even teamed up with Sinful Colors to create three limited-edition collections of nail polish.
The rising beauty icon continues to cause a stir on social media, regularly sharing selfies of her striking beauty looks and giving her millions of followers serious hair and make-up inspiration.
"I really don't get my inspiration from any one place or from fashion," she told WWD. "I just go with what I like in the moment."
