June 8, 2016

Kim Kardashian is often hailed as the queen of selfies, so when she shares her top tips, we listen. Now, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star has revealed why she is championing the "no filter" look, in a series of short clips shared on her Snapchat page.

Kim Kardashian first shared a heavily filtered clip to show the difference

The 35-year-old star first shared a heavily filtered short clip of herself lying in bed with her hair left down, explaining that she is "so over" the look because it appears "so fake and obvious at this point".

To emphasise her point, Kim then shared another clip in which she didn't apply a filter, smouldering for the camera with smokey eye make-up and nude lips.

She revealed she prefers the "no-filter" look

"I think I'm just into the no-filter right now, maybe with my Lumi light," she explained to the camera, adding: "Look at the difference."

Filter or no filter, Kim's complexion was as radiant as ever in the two videos – the star regularly has fans coveting her flawless skin, and recently delighted her Snapchat followers when she gave them a glimpse into her luxurious morning skincare routine.

The mother-of-two shared photos of her favourite products, which came to a total of $1230. Kim revealed that she turns to French skincare giants Crème de la Mer for most of her favourite products, which include The Concentrate, The Renewal Oil, The Perfecting Treatment and the label's classic Crème de la Mer.

The star also includes a more budget-friendly product as part of her routine, kicking off the day by cleansing her skin with Kiko's Scrub & Peel wipe, which is priced at just $9.

Kim has previously admitted that she can spend up to a couple of hours a day getting her hair and make-up done, posting a short video on her eponymous website of herself sat in a chair while her glam squad got to work.

"I thought you guys might like a little peek into my daily glam routine," Kim wrote in a post accompanying the short clip. "I do make-up and hair for about two hours every day!"
