Getting a new tattoo can be daunting, so it comes as no surprise that Hailey Baldwin took close friend Kendall Jenner along when she headed to the tattoo parlour. However, it seems the Keeping up with the Kardashians star wasn't just there for support – she ended up designing Hailey's latest inking.

Hailey Baldwin's latest tattoo spells out 'Pray' across her index fingers

The new artwork spells out the word 'Pray', with the first two letters on Hailey's left index finger and the other pair on her right index finger, so that when she puts her hands in a praying stance the full word appears.

Although Kendall designed the tattoo, it was celebrity artist Jon Boy Tattoo who did the actual inking. "PRAY on @haileybaldwin created by @kendalljenner," he captioned a snap of the blonde beauty's new look. "By #jonboytattoo #hillsongnyc #11."

CELEBRITY TATTOOS: A CLOSER LOOK AT THE STARS' INKINGS

It's not the first time that Hailey and Kendall have headed to a tattoo studio together. Kendall has previously admitted that the pair opted for matching heart-shaped designs, with Kendall choosing a white ink tatto while Hailey went for a red shade.

Kendall herself boasts two designs, both in white ink. "Even though Kim always says, 'Don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley,' I really like tattoos," she wrote in the post titled Tatted Up. "Right now I have two: they're both in white ink on my two middle fingers."

The rising supermodel then delighted fans when she revealed the meanings behind her two designs. "The one on my right hand is a full heart to represent an angel and my left is a broken heart – kind of like the devil side," she explained.

It was Jon Boy who created her tattoos – but the artist admitted that Kendall was keen to stick to subtle patterns so that they wouldn't be visible when she was hitting the catwalk or starring in campaigns.

"She didn't want it to show with modelling and all that," he told Refinery29.
