David Beckham already boasts an impressive collection of tattoos, and now the 41-year-old has opted for another inking during a family holiday to Los Angeles. Although in the past David has given fans a first glimpse when he's gone for tattoos, this time it was wife Victoria Beckham who was the one to unveil the striking design.
David Beckham has a new tattoo on the side of his neck
Taking to Instagram, the mother-of-four delighted her 12.1 million followers with a black-and-white close-up snap of the new tattoo, a picture of a horse's head. "Amazing artist Mark Mahoney @Shamrocksocialclub @davidbeckham X kisses from Los Angeles US VB," she captioned the snap.
The tattoo sits on the side of David's neck, just above the collarbone and below his 'Buster' inking, which he had done in tribute to son Brooklyn Beckham because of his nickname for him.

It's not the first time that David has turned to tattoo artist Mark Mahoney when opting for new artwork. During a trip to Los Angeles earlier this year, the handsome footballer hit Mark's studio to get a new design on his ankle and leg, of what appears to be a male and female angel running arm in arm. Alongside a close-up photo of the tattoo posted on Instagram, David added a caption in which he revealed it had taken over five hours for the design to be completed.

"Great new piece from Mark Mahoney at shamrock," he explained to his 27.8 million followers. "Always nice to sit and listen to marks conversation for 5 hours whilst watching him work… True artist @shamrocksocialclub."
The Beckhams are currently enjoying a summer in Los Angeles
The father-of-four has previously opened up about his extensive body art and how each individual design has a special meaning to him.
"Mine are all about the people in my life, my wife and sons, who I want with me always," he wrote in his autobiography David Beckham: My Side. "When you see me, you see the tattoos. You see an expression of how I feel about Victoria and the boys. They're part of me."
Since writing the book, David and Victoria welcomed their adorable daughter Harper in 2011 – and the sports star has already gone for a series of tattoos in her honour, including the phrase "Pretty Lady" written above a "Harper" design at the base of his neck.
