September 15, 2016

Victoria Beckham expanded her empire this week, conquering the world of beauty with the launch of her new make-up collection for Estée Lauder. Now, the 42-year-old has revealed that she's not the only one in the family with an interest in beauty – daughter Harper, 5, is already following in her mother's footsteps.

Victoria Beckham has revealed daughter Harper loves beauty

"Harper loves beauty!" she told This Morning exclusively during New York Fashion Week. "She loves it. I'm very close with all of the children but the great thing about Harper being a little girl, she loves to play with make-up and that's really great mother and daughter time."

The mother-of-four explained that while the mini fashionista enjoys spending time with her dad David Beckham and her big brothers Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, she has also inherited Victoria's love of all things fashion and beauty.

Harper also enjoys playing football with her dad and brothers

"She is very, very girly," the fashion designer revealed. "She also loves to run around in the garden with her brothers and play football but she is very, very feminine and she loves playing with make-up and my clothes as well."

She added: "She has been able to run in platforms for a few years, right now she can wear heels like most grown-ups cannot!"

The former Spice Girls singer also admitted that she was first drawn into the world of beauty by her own mother, when as a child she would be fascinated by her make-up routine.

Victoria launched her make-up collection earlier this week

"I used to sit and watch my mum get ready," she confessed. "My mum is very glamorous and I remember sitting on her bed and watching her apply her make-up, get dressed and do her hair, and I've always, always been very interested."

While nowadays millions of fans around the world covet Victoria's effortlessly chic make-up looks, when she was a child it was her mother who encouraged her to experiment with her look.

"I remember when I was really young and I was going to school and my mum would get out her lipstick from her bag and put a little bit of her lip on my cheek," she reminisced. "And she’d tell me that I looked a bit peaky and try to liven me up a little bit, if you like."
