Ciara has firmly established herself as a beauty muse, as she is revealed to be Revlon's latest brand ambassador. It's a brand that's no doubt close to the 30-year-old's heart, as she revealed she was named after one of the label's iconic fragrances.
Ciara is Revlon's newest brand ambassador
"I've been a fan of the iconic Revlon brand my entire life," the singer admitted in a statement. "In fact, my name comes from the Revlon Ciara fragrance. It was a gift given to my mother from my father, and she fell in love with the scent and the name."
This marks the Like A Boy hitmaker's first ever beauty campaign – she has previously fronted fashion brands such as Roberto Cavalli.

In her new role, Ciara joins an already stellar list of brand ambassadors including Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde and Halle Berry, as well as Michelle Keegan who fronts the company's campaigns in the UK.
Although the star's first images for Revlon have yet to be released, the cosmetics giant shared a sneak peek of her upcoming video on their Twitter page. In the short clip, Ciara looks every inch a beauty icon as she rocks a variety of bold and striking make-up looks, her hair styled in different hairstyles from worn down in a poker straight style to a wavy ponytail.

The star took the opportunity to share her exciting news, adding that she was "so proud" to have been chosen to represent the brand.
This no doubt tops off an already exciting year for the singer, who tied the knot with American football star Russell Wilson in July. The happy couple said "I do" at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, amongst close family and friends including Kelly Rowland and Jennifer Hudson.

Russell had previously opened up about his relationship with the singer and admitted she was the "girl I wanted to be with before I ever met her".
"She's everything you could ever want, honestly," he said at the Rock Church in San Diego. "Funny thing is, I told somebody that that's the girl I wanted to be with before I ever met her. I told somebody, 'I'm probably going to end up with Ciara'."
