We've come across some bizarre beauty trends in our time (succulents nail art, anyone?), but the latest craze for women painting a full face of make-up onto their thighs has to be one of the strangest yet. A number of Instagram users have shared their masterpieces on social media, complete with dramatic eye make-up, contouring, and even false eyelashes.
While there is no official name for the craze, many women have tagged their make-up artistry with #legmakeup or #thighface, and it appears there is no real reason for doing so other than to perhaps perfect their beauty skills without spending hours sitting in front of the mirror.

And it is not just legs that are getting a full makeover, but arms too. There are over 1,000 posts on Instagram tagged #armmakeup, with women using their forearms as a place to practice some dramatic eye make-up looks featuring perfectly groomed eyebrows, full eyelashes and flawless winged eyeliner.
