Singer Sia has collaborated with bosses at MAC Cosmetics on a new lipstick shade to honour World AIDS Day on Friday. The Australian pop star is now the latest celebrity spokesperson of the makeup company's famous VIVA GLAM campaign and proceeds from sales of her first beauty offering as MAC ambassador will benefit many people affected by the disease.
Sia has collaborated with MAC Cosmetics to mark World AIDS Day
"This #WorldAIDSDay, Sia will be working with @MACCosmetics for their #VIVAGLAM campaign and releasing her very own lipstick (which will be available in early January)," a spokesperson for the star announced on Instagram on Thursday in a caption attached to an advertising image featuring the star puckering up her lips while wearing the red shade she helped create. Every single cent of the price of her lipstick goes towards the M·A·C AIDS Fund which goes directly to people affected by HIV/AIDS."
MAC Cosmetics representatives have ensured their collaboration with the Titanium hitmaker is in line with the 2017 World AIDS day theme of "increasing impact through transparency, accountability and partnership", alluding to the inspiring topic while promoting the lipstick on the company's own Instagram account.
"Sia's soulful songwriting inspires countless fans to raise their own voices. Be heard - and seen - in VIVA GLAM Sia, coming 2018," one post reads, while a later message encourages fans to, "Speak up, sing out and let the world see you... in the unstoppable colour of VIVA GLAM Sia." Sia isn't the only celebrity set to reveal fresh MAC makeup products next year - rapper Nicki Minaj is also slated to drop her own top-secret personal offerings with the cosmetics giant. Minaj teased fans of "more surprises to come" when she launched two nude lipstick shades with MAC in September.
